PLEASE, PLEASE!! READ ALL OF THIS!! I have never given one star. If I could I would give NO STARS!! Have been a member of the Best Buy geek squad for a few years. Right in the middle of my membership they changed ALL of their policies. Started charging a fee for coming to your home to help you, with anything. Over a $100. Everything you bought from Best Buy was supposedly guaranteed for 2 years, you brought it back, they replaced it. Now they send it off to Kentucky to be evaluated. So TV, computer, printer, etc. You are without for 2 to 6 weeks. If you bought your computer from Best Buy, it was covered under Webroot. They watched it, to monitor for viruses and hackers. Guess what? All my information, my social, DOB, address, phone number, I mean EVERYTHING was leaked to the dark web! Now all my accounts are frozen. I didn't have my phone covered by Best Buy, so I NEVER, EVER gave any info out on my phone. Always went to my computer, believing I was safe, NOT!! I obviously did not renew my subscription this year. Atrempted to speak to a manager at Best Buy before I made this post. That was an impossibility. Tried several times, and several bogus numbers given to me, by the staff at Best Buy. Had every intention to discuss this with them; however, they made that decision not to!! So I'm posting this! Make your own decision, buyer BEWARE is all I can say!!

Don't waste your time. This one isn't worth it. Go somewhere else. This Geek Squad is not knowledgeable nor have much care for their customers. Just to start, I asked about multiple computers and I'm told it's $380 a pop.. I asked what about the membership for $180 and the response was "yeah, I mean it'll cover everything so you do not have to pay $380 for every single computer". I do not feel as if they are there to "assist" as they would rather nickel and dime me since they want to push $380 and are hesitant about their membership.

Went in on 05/28/2024 (I only about 5-10 mins spent in the store total) to get a deep scan on my phone and laptop due to some things being compromised. The man who helped me was not helpful at all, treated me as if I was wasting his time, and when he was talking me about the difference package options he had his eyes closed talking to me the whole time. Seems like he would careless to actually help the clients. Then I called my brother to ask for his help (his in IT 2 hrs away) he helped me in the span of 10 mins over the phone. When I told the guy that I was going to get help from my brother I said “I think I’m just going to listen to my brother, but than you for your time” he rolled his eyes at me and made a snarky remarked. Sad to say I walked out with tears in my eyes then proceeded to cry in my car for 5 mins. Safe to say I will NEVER be coming back.

I was very surprised I had a problem with my TV not recognizing the Amazon Prime. I went in to settings and was able to get it to at least erase one of the icons. But I still could not get Amazon Prime to work properly. So I had to have Geek Squad come out and it was a simple as just unplugging your TV let it reset and then plugging it back in. Now it works perfect. It took the gentleman a total of 10 minutes to figure it out and has worked great ever since. These guys know what they're doing.

YOU KARENS WITH THE BAD reviews are garbage and just angry people venting, these workers can't help some of these issues but you come in here acting like the geek squad is the problem, the companies your product is around is the issue, me I have had ALOT OF ISSUES, I've been in here 4 times with computer problems that was the company dells fault, first when in for warranty repair, then got it back and the new charger didn't work, so went back and told them, setup report and sent me a new one, Dell sent me on way to small, so now I'm back, and the website didn't schedule me right but she helped squeeze me in due to this and help me, they decided to save me time and possible more issues from Dell and gave me one of the few spares they have to save me time. Yall gotta quit blaming people who try their best to help you out good lord.
