Dell Optiplex Boot from USB: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Prepare Your USB Drive

Before you can boot from USB, you must ensure that your USB drive is properly set up. The most important step is to make sure the USB drive contains a bootable operating system or tool, such as a Windows installation disk, Linux distribution, or system repair tool. You can create a bootable USB drive using tools like Rufus or the official Windows 10 Media Creation Tool. Once your USB is ready, you’re good to go.

Step 2: Access the BIOS Settings

To boot your Dell Optiplex from USB, you first need to access the system’s BIOS (Basic Input/Output System). Restart your computer, and during the startup screen (before Windows loads), repeatedly press the F2 key. This will open the BIOS menu where you can configure boot options and other system settings.

Step 3: Change Boot Order in BIOS
