I reached out to Kwok for assistance with my server/website, in early November of 2023. At that time my server experiencing frequent downtime, and I also needed a server backup. Kwok assured me he could resolve the issues, so I provided him with all necessary logins. Over the course of several weeks, no improvement was made, my website continued to go down daily, causing significant damage to my SEO. Kwok instructed me to disable security plugins during what turned out to be a DDOS attack, which led to a complete shut down due to a hack. He failed to properly diagnose the problem let alone solve it. After my server kept going down, I was forced to do my own research. My new knowledge helped me understand the problem and quickly figure out effective solutions. I switched my DNS to Cloudflare and purchased an antivirus solution, which ultimately solved the problem. 7 months later, Kwok sent me a $530 invoice despite not resolving the original issues. When I asked for clarification, he responded with a personal attack and threatened to send the invoice to collections. In summary, Kwok's services were ineffective, caused more damage, and resulted in an unjustified invoice long after our communication ended. Based on my experience, I can not recommend his services. Addition to address Kwok's response: 1. Kwok has never resolved my issue. He just dropped my case when I needed his help the most leaving me to fend for myself and figure out how to solve it on my own. 7 months later he emailed me asking how I solved the issue and sent me a bill (for what?) 2. In an honest effort to pay, I reached out MULTIPLE TIMES in good faith and asked him to send me his Zelle, wire transfer or a CC payment link. I paid his invoice right after the payment link was sent. 3. He threatened to send me to collections right after my asking him to clarify what the invoice was specifically for. 4. In order to retaliate for my honest review, Kwok left a 1-star review on my business page even though he was never my client. 5. What he stated in his revised response is a lie. He never advised anything useful or secured my server. Unfortunately, I experienced nothing but Kwok's incompetence and lack of professionalism. The adequate thing to do for Kwok in this situation would have been to apologize and ask, "How can I make things right?" and definitely not to go and leave a defamatory review on my business page in retaliation. Beware.
